The traditional charm and Victorian features with two fireplaces create an intimate and comfortable environment in which to enjoy a superb menu, local ales and fine wines.
We also have a more modern, large conservatory area and garden for sunny days which is available for hire. Candlelit in the evening, the space becomes a haven for locals and newcomers to this rediscovered hidden jewel.
Our tasteful Lower Deck is available for hire day or night. It is suitable for any event and we can provide a superb in-house buffet. Check out our Buffet menu for a sample of the catering we can provide, or call us today to arrange a meeting with our chef to discuss your personal preferences.
• A comfortable space seating 40 guests
• Live music available with notice
• Choose from a wide selection of buffet menu ideas
We think our Lower Deck is Brighton’s best kept secret and you won’t find another space like it in town!
In contrast to the traditional side of the pub, we have this amazing room to the back of the original building which is available for hire which has a more modern feel.
Originally a conservatory, this room offers high ceilings sending in an abundance of sunlight during the day, and with chesterfield leather sofas and a range of seating available, this is a great place for groups of people to comfortably sit together and talk. Don’t miss the back drop of Brighton memorabilia and work by local photographers.
The room adjoins a patio garden with an antique beer festival table, lanterns and fresh flowers, so you don’t need to go out onto the road for a little fresh air.
This room is suitable, we think, for any event. We regularly have musicians playing there who say the acoustics are fantastic and it has scope for a broad range of uses too. From formal to informal gatherings, celebrations, consolations and jubilations, weddings, charity events, sad events and fun events, we think this room is good for it all!
